"I was far too greedy in this game. White made a mistake after the opening and I won the exchange. Then I also won the c4 pawn and everything was great for me. In the position below, White has just retreated the Queen, offering me also the c3 pawn. After my unpractical Qxc3?! White continued with Bb2!? I had actually seen this trick before capturing on c3, but quickly concluded that it would not be dangerous. I have to say that, for some reason, my mind refused to calculate any deeper since the moment I won the exchange. Generally speaking, there was no reason to wake up White's dark square bishop, just for one more pawn.
A few moves later, in the position below, I still have a great position and almost every move is winning. I may just consolidate with something like Nc6, for example.
Instead, I chose to take the second exchange with Nxd4?? This is too much. That Knight was my best defender! After Bxd4, White has got a huge attack. The computer shows only one incredible path towards a somehow sustainable defence. In the game, I tried c5? with the idea of bringing back my Queen; but, despite being up two exchanges and two pawns, the position is simply lost after this move. My two rooks are helpless against the bishops and my two remaining pieces are in Siberia. White went on with Qg3! (the only winning move, but too obvious) and could convert into a win."
